I have really bad cracked heels. Does anyone have some good advice on what to use?

I have tried alot of different lotions and none of them seem to work. The heels crack so bad they are hard to walk on and start to bleed. Please help!!

  • Use a cream lotion. Then seal it with and body oil. I am not sure if Avon still carries it, but they used to have and infused lotion with oil. If you follow it up with body oil it will help. They also used to carry a cream specifically to help the heels. The best time to apply it is after a shower or bath.

  • My husband had the same issue. What worked for him was the athlete's foot cream. What you do is wash your feet, dry them, rub it on THICK, and then put a thick sock over it and leave it like that over nite. You can also use vaseline or go to a health food store and they should have something that will work.

  • When you get ready for bed, coat your heels with plain old Vaseline and then put on and sleep in an old pair of socks. It really does help. You can do the same things with your hands, and sleep in a pair of old gloves.

  • Lotrimin if you believe its a fungal issue. If they aren't itchy and you think it's overly dry skin you can do the vaseline overnight treatment
You need to exfoliate if it's a dry skin issue get a pumice stone and soak them in epsom salt. If you have a more serious issue that might be fungal you might need to get new shoes. My dr says athetic shoes used every day should be replaced every 6-8 months.
