  • Yep Q-tips. I have a friend and her daughter has super waxy ears so they use the ear candles.

  • Dip a Q-Tip in some peroxide. You can also drip peroxide in your ear slowly to help break up very thick wax and then swipe the outer ear with a Q-Tip.

  • They sell something to put in your ears to get wax out of your ear.

  • They sell flushes and drops to get it out. I have seen people use candles- even once saw a rolled news paper convection method. I still use q-tips when I feel it's absolutely necessary, but try to avoid it if I can.

  • A small paper clip. I just bend it so the small end forms a little loop similar to the tools doctors use. Probably not the most sanitary but it's not like I'm not jamming it down into my ear canal. I was told by my ENT as a child never to use Q-tips as it pushes the wax down into your ear.

  • Q-tip dipped in baby oil. The oil helps break up the wax.
