  • Where the placenta partially or completely covers the cervix

  • Placenta previa is when the placenta covers all or part of the cervix. An anterior placenta (placenta attached to the front of the uterus) can block the feeling of fetal movement. You should still be able to feel some movement, but you may have to lay down, drink a glass of OJ, and do a kick count to be sure.

  • No, it isn't blocking movements, but if the placenta is anterior it can affect your noticing.

  • You could easily have placenta previa and an anterior placenta. If you were feeling movement and it suddenly changed then you might want to see the doc. If that is not the case then I would drink a big glass of water and lay down and you should be able to feel something.

  • When the placenta covers your cervix, you might have to have a c-section because of it.
