Anyone know recipes for desserts that I can make with thin mint candies?

I got fortyleven boxes of mints for Christmas because everyone know I love them. I would like to make some desserts using them to serve my family when they come to visit. Thanks

  • You can crush them up and add them to cheesecake, the no-bake kind.

Break them up and garnish chocolate mousse.

Dip them halfway into white chocolate, chill, and garnish cake or grasshopper pie with them.

Pipe blobs of mint ice cream on them and make faces with icing gel.

Top with sliced strawberries, and you could even add a tiny bit of cool whip.

Make chocolate pie and use them as the crust.

If you want to make crumbs easily, chill them, and put them in a blender. Cover, and blend in short bursts until most of the cookies are crumbs. Pick out the big pieces.

I will probably think of more later on....

  • smash some of them with a hammer until they are really fine. Add to brownie or chocolate cake mix. You can even put some on top and in between the layers for a cake.

  • I have the easiest fudge recipe that originally calls for nuts. I have already substituted crushed oreos and I am betting that you can sub some crushed thin mints also.

1/4 cup (1/2 stick) of butter
3 cups of white chocolate chips
1 can of eagle brand sweetened condensed milk

The recipe says to melt in the microwave, I do it on the stove in a pot. It takes about 5 minutes. Then mix in about a cup of whatever your heart desires. Pour it into a normal size cake pan lined with wax paper and stick in the fridge to set up. Very quick and very easy and some of the best fudge I have ever had.
