How much is too much to kiss your child? Mine's a year old.

  • It's up to the child. If it's too much, he or she will let you (and others) know that they feel smothered instead of mothered. Listen to your kid's cues.

  • My 3 1/2 year old asks for a kiss. Then demands "many of it", meaning he wants me to smooch his entire head for as long as possible.

  • you can never kiss them too much. mine love kisses my 4 year old and my 2 year old could have me kiss them all day and nite if i would. when i give one kiss it always ends up being at least 10 of them and they love rubbing our noses together and tight bear hugs.
