I would try to find out whose it was because it is illegal to keep it. This past December a lady accidental dropped an envelope of cash on the ground outside of a gas station. A few minutes later a guy found it and pocketed it. The cameras caught him picking it up and he was charged with theft by taking. He turned himself and the money in and the charges were later dropped.
