How do I get baby oil out of my child's hair?

My 2 year old had a little bit of cradle cap left on her scalp so I used baby oil and got rid of it.... but now I can't get the baby oil out with baby shampoo. What do I do?

  • I used a little of my shampoo on my daughters. It took a couple washes, but finally did come out.

  • Put some baby powder, cornstarch or flour in her hair, let it sit for 1-2 min and then just shampoo it out.

  • I used Dawn dishwashing detergent, then followed up with his regular baby shampoo. (DS got into a bottle of baby oil when he was 2, I've never seen such a mess!!)

  • Dawn for sure would do it, just be careful of the eyes.
