  • We garden pretty extensively. I have my old standbys, and then try different things different years too. We grow greens (lettuces, kale, chard, arugula), tomatoes, cucumbers, squashes, melons, corn, peas, carrots, scallions, bell and hot peppers every year. We tried broccoli and celery but neither one liked our soil and they were bitter. We tried corn and onions but neither one did much, and we tried beets but my chickens got out and ate them all. This year we will give beets another shot and try something new too.

  • I had one but the cold weather in Miami, as seldom as it is killed it all. I had eggplant, tomatoes, and lots of herbs.

  • Haven't decided yet, strawberries and scallions always return, No tomatoes this year, hubby is the only one that eats them and they go to waste, same with the cuc's. Brusselssprouts did great, so did peppers last year. Always do salad greens till it gets too hot for them. had a great crop of Birdhouse gourds (made everybody's Xmas) so may do something like that again.
