Can you use a tanning bed while breastfeeding

my daughter is just about a month old and im breastfeeding her, its winter and i like to tan...not alot like every other week or so...but is it safe to do

  • it should be fine its pretty much like sitting under a lightbulb :)................the only thing I would do it get some breast pettals or something that you can put over your nipples if you like to tan nude.......this will help keep the skin that she uses from changing.......

  • no. it's not safe. your baby will probably be fine but you won't.

  • It won't affect your breastfeeding but it might affect the length of your life, which has a HUGE impact on your baby. You can get skin cancer from tanning beds, too. Please consider using a sunless tanner cream instead, it's much healthier and they are very realistic.

  • Tanning beds are not safe for anyone. Spray tan, self tan, etc. work just as well and they help your skin, they don't destroy your body.

  • ok well i dont thik it will harm me breastfeeding or the baby, and yes tanning beds are bad but so is smoking, eating fast food, being in the sun and all that stuff so ya
