  • Costco has just released a new line of canned vegetables under their Kirkland Signature brand. I read an article about them, and they sounded impressive. They highlighted the differences between the process and ingredients that they use and how others can vegetables.

  • Brand name bc, the cheap ones like green beans have little stem pieces in them.

  • None, imo. Fresh or frozen are the best.

  • When I do buy canned, I usually get Green Giant brand. Some of the off-brands have hard pea's and if I'm making like a tuna salad or something I don't want hard peas in it.

  • For a while I was a Great Value (Wal-Mart) snob, on the rare occasion I bought them. Now they're just as high in price as brand names. I discovered Hy-Vee brand (it's a midwest store), and when they're on sale I'll pick up a few for just in case. We hardly use any but once in a while they come in handy.

  • S&W. I have better luck with them usually. (But I tend to stick with frozen and fresh).

  • Try to go fresh if at all possible - much better for you ~
