Do you use any kid-safe browser for you kids?

What kind do you use? would you recommend it?

  • We don't, but we put "shortcuts" to dd's favorite kiddy sites like sesame street, sprout online, nick jr....so all she does is clicks on it (it's on the desktop) and it will take her directly to the games section of each. We also monitor her....the computer is in the family room so we pass by often. We limit her time to about 30 min a day....and it's all educational stuff.....matching items, colors, shapes, words, sounds....
    The best thing you can do as a parent (IMO) is monitoring.

  • We use "firefox filter" and our computer is in the dining room where it can be seen from the kitchen and living room. There isn't anything that I can't see because I'm always in the same room since it's all open.

  • I get that, I'm not talking about letting the computer babysit. Some of those browsers come with built in games and other applications.

  • Kidzui is my kids favorite browser. It's easy enough for my 6 yr old to use alone and my 14 yr old even enjoys it.
