5 month old

My 5 month old is now eating her solids. were almost done testing the fruit yay! but it seems like she doesnt want as much if her bottles. she will eat a whole container of fruit or veg and only like an ounce or 2 of formula....any suggestions on how to set up a feeding schedule so that i can make sure she is eating the recommended amount of formula each day (18-24 oz) so lost and i dont want her to get dehydrated or something. Her doc said the fruits and cereal and veg are not that important and that they are teaching tools which is why im kind of nervous!

  • i started only with breakfast at first, so they drink all the rest of their meals. three times a day is too many.

  • Cut down on the solids. Formula should be her main source of nutrition at this age.

  • Antonio will not take an oz of a bottle. I'm stuck nursing him and he's doing that a lot less. I'm not doing the recommended because of this either.

  • Actually at 5 months, she shouldn't be eating that much solids. Maybe half a jar of the 1st foods each meal if you want to give her solids three times a day. It's actually recommended that you wait till 6 months to introduce solids.
