How to express love and thanks to a NM...

K so im trying this again...but im gonna give alot more background...
Im not looking for advice on my adoption, like should it be open or closed etc... but just so everyone knows the NM and I are very close friends, the adoption is open, the NM is very sweet and loves the idea of the baby as a gift she is giving and is happy to know her child will be raised in a healthy happy home, so with that my question is simple...does anyone have any good ideas for a special gift poem idea to express our love and appreciationfor her and all she has done...

  • "Dear Birth Mother
    You gave a gift,
    A brand-new life,
    Tiny and sweet,
    A blessing indeed.
    A baby girl,
    Precious and small,
    An answer to prayer,
    No joy can compare.
    No more empty arms,
    I'm thrilled like no other.
    You chose life and
    Made me a mother.
    Thank you so much
    For this precious gift,
    For being God's answer
    to my prayers and tears."

  • ~blergh~ sorry.. but a human being is not a gift or a present....

Would you want to know you were thought of as a tradable object with a price tag?

  • "A Special Bond of Love
A poem of thanks to a birth mother.
Once strangers, not knowing of each other,
    God brought us together
To share a special bond of love
With a sweet little girl named Sarah.
You may never understand the pain
Or know the tears I cried.
My heart's desire was for a child
    To nurture, love, and guide.
I may never understand the pain
Or know the tears you cried.
You said good-bye to this precious child,
Entrusting me to nurture, love, and guide.
I see your face in her pretty smile,
And love in her sparkling eyes.
She's the answer to countless prayers,
    A blessing to many lives.
    No longer strangers,
We share a special bond of love
    With a very precious gift
    From our God above."

  • Most adoptees dont like to be considered "gifts". I have talked to many who say its offensive.

  • any child is a gift, no matter how they came to be part of a family...i will always feel all my children bio or adopted are gifts, i believe God gives us blessings and to me gift blessing etc means the same thing my adopted son is a blessing or gift, not a monetary gift but a blessing or gift from GOD...
