Do you ever get frustrated with your single friends when they tell you how busy they are?

I try to put myself back in their shoes, and understand I get so frustrated with my single friends with no kids when they complain about lack of sleep, how busy they are, their overwhelming responsibilities and so on. Am I the only one who just feels like they live on another planet?

  • Depends on who it is but usually it's more a question of them not being able to manage their time. Busy, and somehow draining, to a few of them is something like sleeping or shopping or watching tv.

  • Nope because they honestly have not clue. I didn't when I was single and did not have children.

I just laugh and ask if they can babysit for a weekend so I can have some time off. They usually decline.

  • No it doesnt frustrate me- just because they don't have kids or a spouse doesn't mean they dont have daily responsibilities- there just different than ours

  • No because I was far busier before kids than I am now. I kept 3 jobs and school. Sometimes people with out children really are busy.

  • Only one time. I worked with a single guy and he was always complaining he was tired. His shift started 3 hours later than mine. Allrighty then! LOL I tried to explain to him that we all have priorities and we all get tired.

  • No - just because I'm a mom doesn't mean I have a patent on being busy. I have plenty of friends without children that are incredibly busy. We all have different responsibilities.

  • They just live different lives that's all.

  • It depends on who was complaining. If it were someone who just goes to school or just has one job, but spends the rest of their time at the mall or the clubs, then yes I'd be a little irritated by their complaints. But if I know the person is holding down a job(s) and school, and is really THAT busy, I doubt they would even have enough time to come around to complain about it.

  • No, most of my single friends get frustrated at how busy I am and I am a married woman!
