How does my resume look? Some things I left off for privacy sakes.

Looking for steady employment as either an independent, or team housekeeper, in all aspects of business, residential and, or commercial cleaning.

March 2008- Present [ RPhillips Plastering ] Provo, Utah
~In charge of cleaning single family home and office cleaning independently, and some light maintenance. Mr. Phillips hired me on a contract bases to clean and maintain home twice a week. Also made schedule flexible to assist and be available for their convenience. Prepped home for parties, and after temple invites as per owner requests.
~Duties performed are, clean all 5 walk-in bathrooms, tubs, showers, toilets, sinks, walls, ceiling, doors and casing cleaned of dust and mold buildup and maintained. Keep bathrooms stocked with supplies of toiletries, towels cleaned and folded put away, clean towels hung for owners.
~Dusting all furnishings, stairwells dusted and vacuumed, Light fixtures kept cleaned and new bulbs installed when needed, windows and blinds cleaned and maintained inside and out, switches and plug plates cleaned, moldings, baseboards, and door casing cleaned and kept dust free.
~Vacuuming & dusting wood floors and polished.

November 2007- Present [Prina Management] Provo, Utah
Assistant Supervisor, assist team with detailed cleaning of new construction phases, residential homes, commercial places of business, as well LDS churches. Prepped homes for owner occupancy by cleaning all windows interior and exterior, including blinds, window paneling and tracks.
Dusting all ceiling and walls of construction dust. Cleaning Light fixtures.
Detailed cleaning of every nook and cranny inside and out of cupboards.
Washed all appliances and readied for owners.
Detailed cleaning bathrooms ceiling to floor.
Jobs consist of some high work and the proper knowledge of using a ladder safely. Work is sporadic.

January 1995-Present [Snap Handyman services] Provo, Utah
On call housekeeping & flood damage
Worked on call assisted in the cleaning, and repairs of apt, duplex, and single family dwelling move outs.
Learned to successfully remediate mold and mildew, flood damage control.
Successfully repaired broken light fixtures, and replaced broken and or worn plugs and plates.
Assisted in plumbing repairs by adding new faucets, handles, toilets, and toilet seats.

  • I would have it proofread by someone to remove some grammar errors. There are also a few things i would take out, such as "work was sporadic."
    I think it outlines your experience and what you can do pretty well, but just needs some polishing.

  • Your formatting is inconsistent, which lets the reader think that you are a careless worker.
    Your grammar is not very good; you have mixed tenses.

    A resume should tell what you have accomplished, and how you improved the company you worked for.
    You need a skills section, detailing what you can offer a potential employer.

  • Make it as short and sweet as possible.One page is what they like now.
