  • No.

    My husband was picked for a murder trial. First degree murder, with potential for death penalty. They were sequestering the jury for at least 2 weeks. He was allowed to speak to the judge and get out of it, because the date was set a week before our wedding for the week of our wedding. We also had already paid for plane tickets and room for hotel. Judge said it would be easier to find a new jurer than have my husband have to suffer a life with his wife after he missed the wedding and honeymoon.
