Should groomers automatically check the dog's nails?

Or do I have to specifically ask about that? He just got back today and I just noticed his nails are over 1/2" long. Yikes.

  • When I take ours in I have to tell them exactly what I need them to do, and that includes nails. Our groomer won't do anything unless it's specified...

  • Yes, it is part of a groom. Unless you tooth the dog in and said a bath only there should be no reason why they wouldn't. I bet somebody just overloooked it.
