  • I take the bible literally for the most part. I believe everything is the Truth, the divine Word of God as spoken by the Holy Spirit. I trust the Holy Spirit to guide me into all understanding. I don't pick and choose what I like or want to believe. I accept it as a whole.

  • No, I believe much of it was meant to be allegory. Personally, I think we need to be careful about taking any sacred texts too literally or be sure we understand the context of why something was written if we takes parts as literal interpretation. Sometimes only focusing on literal translations can cause you to miss the main message in the text. This is not only true of the Bible IMO, but true other sacred texts like the Bhagavad Gita or Tao Te Ching for instance. Sometimes we have to find the intended message but relate it to here and now.

  • Since most of it was written in a figurative mode I would say probably not,

  • Yes, I believe in a pretty literal interpretation. It was written by man, but inspired by God.

  • Goddess no. more people might want to kill me for being a witch if they followed their bibles literally thanks to a deliberate
    mistranslation.
