Horrible evening!!! VENT!

ok...friday started off good. Hubby home cause he had been laid off, no luck on job hunting so far, ds being ds...ect. well...5 hits. dh went to go pick up his litte bro....went to get gas...ran into the back of someone's car. The guy was cool, didnt call cops or anything. (Hubby has no insurance and expired licence) Hubby and guy do a deal with a promisary note saying dh will fix car, minor damage maybe $300. Dh didnt pick up little bro yet so he goes to do that, truck breaks down....turns out his radiatr is busted....and ds is upstairs in his room screaming he's hungry but wont eat dinner, tried 2 times and he's had it before. Now here's the kicker..we got income tax about a month ago....paid few months rent, got tires for it, got much needed clothes for ds...and now we are broke!!!!! trying to get pa but having issues....thanks for letting me vent!

  • A) Your DH has no business driving w/o a license and insurance. That's extremely irresponsible and could end up costing you way more money in the long run. Second, you need to learn better money management. Dave Ramsey is a great starting point.

  • I agree, he shouldn't be driving without a license and insurance.

  • I'm sure she didn't post this to be criticized. Of course it's common knowledge that driving without a license and insurance is against the law, but you do what you have to sometimes.

Hope things look up for you soon dreamangel. I know times get rough and you're doing what you can to get your family by. Sending positive vibes your way and a cyber hug =)

  • thanks for the replies, possitive or not. i know its not responsible but we have no choice at this current time. we have no one really to borrow money from to help us out. dh truck needed tires bad, he had competly bald tires. he just notice his licence was expired yestrday, but we didnt have the $10 to get it corrected. dh was gonna do some odd jobs to get it. we have money for food, but thats it. when you have a 3 year old that had no insurance for a month and had 3 ear infections with meds costing up to $185 a rx, yo tend to focus on getting your child the meds he needs. and for being 23 and 25 with a 3 year old we are doing better than some. we have a 2 bed, 1 1\2 bath apt, all bills paid so we can mange money better.
