  • My DD naps 3 to sometimes 4 hours. Here lately though she hasn't been napping, she's been fighting it until she gets to the point of exhaustion.

  • my two year olds naps are usually around 2 hours long, but i agree with sweetloveofmine never wake them up unless it has been an extremely long time because they get very cranky

  • I think as long as it doesn't interfere with their normal bedtime they should be allowed to sleep as long as they need to. My oldest used to sleep 12 - 3 and still go to bed at 7:30 or so when he was ages 1 to 2. He gave up the naps at age 2.

  • my three old if he does take a nap it is usually between 1 and a half and 2 hours unless he isn't feeling good then sometimes it is longer. I think each child is different and if it doesn't affect their nighttime bedtime then I wouldn't worry about it but if you are concerned that they are sleeping too long then I'd talk to their pediatrician.
