Do you go by the phrase you can't wear white after labor day??

When do you start again?

  • I still use the rule - I live in the South and the rules are pretty hard and fast with people that were raised here. I would never say anything to anyone, but I certainly do think they are clueless when I see people wearing white between Labor Day and Easter.
However, current fashion is saying there's no reason to follow that rule anymore, so . . . it's up to you.

  • When I was growing up this was a hard and fast 'rule' in our house, and the town. It is really sillyness. Labor Day until Easter.

  • I do with sandals and pumps. Tennis shoes, I don't. I never really wear white pants anyway, so... I don't carry a white purse after that... Force of habit, I guess. As soon as it really starts to warm up outside, I will be back to wearing white sandals and carrying my purse though.
