  • get a package of fresh raviolis (not frozen, usually around the cheese). then just layer marinara (from a jar or leftover spaggetti sauce) grated mozzerella, and I add some chopped spinach (frozen, then I just thaw and strain). once the ingredients are all layered sprinkle some parmesean on top, cover and cook at about 375 for 50 minutes then uncover and cook an additional 5-10 until the top is golden

  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
    1 jar spagetti sauce
    3 cups mozzarella cheese
    1/2 cup parm cheese

boil the lasagna noodles so they still have a bit of body to them, and while those are boiling, cook the meat, drain the oil and add the spagetti sauce. get it nice and hot.
rinse noodles under cold water so they are cool enough to handle. Assemble in a 9x13 sauce first, noodles, sauce, mozz. cheese, parm cheese, noodles, sauce...over and over...Top with the remainder of the cheese, bake at 400 for about 30-45 min or until all the cheese is melted and has started to brown on the top of the lasagna.

  • You can get no boil noodles, and either home made sauce or pre-made, and follow this:
6 regular noodles, cooked per instructions (or however many needed to make 2 layers of noodles if using no-boil)
1 container ricotta (okay to use fat free!)
    1 16 oz bag shredded part-skim mozzarella
    1 egg
    1 jar sauce
Mix together ricotta, 1/2 of mozzarella and egg in a bowl. Spread 1/3 sauce on the bottom of a 13x9 casserole dish. Layer on 1/2 of cheese mixture. Layer 3 regular noodles (or however many no-boil if using those), then 1/3 sauce, the rest of the cheese mixture, noodles, then sauce. Sprinkle on the rest of the mozzarella. Cover with foil and bake at 350 for 45 minutes. Remove the foil, then bake for another 15 minutes, until bubbly and starting to brown. Let it sit for 5 minutes before serving.
I also saute some veggies and throw them into the sauce (spinach, zucchini, yellow squash, carrots, broccoli, bell pepper.... cont

  • whatever veggies you like!). you can also add fresh parsley and basil, which is nice. I like to throw some chopped up parsley into the cheese mixture, because it looks nice.

  • You can also add 1 lb ground beef or turkey, cooked however you like (plain or made similar to meatloaf, but browned and drained) and throw it into the sauce.

  • I have a recipe from a casserole cook book that is wonderfully easy and tastes soooo good. It's called Kids Favorite Lasagna, and every time I make it I go double or quadruple on the recipe then freeze the stuff we don't eat and save some for leftovers the next day.

    3/4 pound ground beef
2 1/2 cups purchased spaghetti sauce
6 dried lasagna noodles (6 ounces)
    1 1/2 cups cottage cheese
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (6 ounces)
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
    (1) In large skillet cook ground beef over medium heat until brown; drain. Stir in 1 1/2 cups of spaghetti sauce.
    (2) Spread remaining sauce into bottom of an ungreased 2-quart rectangular baking dish. Place 2 uncooked noodles on sauce. Spread one third of the meat mixture over noodles and 3/4 cup of the cottage cheese over meat and then Sprinkle 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese over cottage cheese. Repeat layers.
