  • My DD is 6 and I still take her. If my DH, father or brother are with us, they escort my 8 year old son too. IF DD is with DH - well then it gets fun. They look for single stall bathrooms she can use on her own or family rest rooms. They try to avoid larger facilities and DH won't take her into the men's room at this age if it's a traditional, urinals in the open set-up.

  • My almost 5yo goes in by herself occasionally. Mostly she goes with her older sisters because she can't reach the sink otherwise. The older girls were about 5 and 7 when they started going without me (together usually) and started taking the youngest when she was 3 (they were 6 1/2 and almost 9) when we were at familiar places.

  • She's almost 12 and she still doesn't go by herself (she doesn't want to)
