  • Steel cut oats with berries, egg white omelet with a slice of whole grain toast.

Another favorite is something I started making that I call egg muffin bites. I take a muffin pan and make 6 (three for me, three for DH). I put chopped onions, tomatoes, spinach and sometimes broccoli along with 1 cut up sausage link or 3 slices of bacon (1 link for all 6, not 1 link each) all into the muffin cups and fill with egg beaters, I top with low-fat cheese and bake for about 25 minutes at 350 degrees, they pop out like egg "muffins" and we can eat on a plate or eat on the go.

  • Get rid of the junk food first, if the temptation is there and you are struggling you will be more likely to give in!

  • Oatmeal, fruit, smoothies are always a good way to fill you up with healthy fruit & yogurt

  • I'm loving Greek yogurt. Steel cut oatmeal is good too, fresh fruit, whole grain toast.
