Do you devote one day a week to family day?

we do sunday as family day. i just remember growing up,my mom was/is a realtor and no day/time was set aside specifically for family. sunday's, i don't take phone calls, do any kind of buisiness, and we all kind of hang out together and do stuff. it's nice to have a day of no expectations, other than church.

  • Sundays are definitely our hang around the house day.  I make my hubs favorite meal, everything is very relaxed.  I get caught up on everything I may have gotten behind on, etc.  Very nice.  :)  Thursdays are our actual family night though.  We rent movies, get some pizza, drink some Coke, lol.

  • yea thats kinda how wer are..idk why its always Sunday. But when I get married and have a husband I plan to do exactly that. I want something more than a fly by family..where we barely spend anytime together cause of this or that. I am traditional and I see dinner time as sit down time..no electronics..and atleast one day as family day and one day as couples day..

  • No, we don't. My kids spend their weekends playing with their friends (every other weekend my son's best friend is here visiting his dad so we rarely see him or my almost 5yo daughter who is best friends with the boy's younger sister). We don't plan anything on weekends because the kids are never here (they are all out at friends' houses right now; me and hubby are watching the race with the baby).
During the week the kids have school, get home at 4pm and then it's homework, dinner at 5 and then they play with their friends or relax until 7pm when they have to do their reading and get ready for bed.

  • Nope, we hang out as a family throughout the week, we don't have a specific day for it.

  • Our schedules are so split up these day, I'd LIKE for us to have a day just to ourselves. My 17 year old would say otherwise tho. :)
