How can I get stains out of carpet?

  • Have you tried resolve or another carpet cleaner? If that doesn't work, then you might have to have it professionally cleaned.

  • Hot Shot, I got it at Lowes and it has gotten everything a dog, cat and two girls can through at it.

  • Resolve and Hot Shot - both very good for carpet stains....and a WHITE cloth so you don't stain the carpet with the rag you are using to scrub with.

  • I put a sprayer cap on a bottle of peroxide (you have to leave it in its own bottle because light affects peroxide) and spray spots and then tap up the stain with a white cloth, sort of punching the cloth covering the stain. Sometimes I repeat that a couple of times. Works like a charm! And contrary to popular belief, peroxide does not bleach things out very often. My carpet, furniture, mattresses...all still the same color they were when I bought them.
