  • Why haven't you went to the Doctor yet?

  • Did you even know for sure if you were pregnant? It might just be your period changed cycles unless you knew for a fact you were pregnant.

  • i agree with above to take the tampon out! your body is getting rid of something and it needs to get it out if its bleeding that heavily! i had several miscarriages early on. one of them i didnt even know i was preg. you can take a preg. test. when i went to the hospital with the first one, they couldnt do anything for me. they kept me in the emergency room and the er dr checked me every so often. i didnt even have to have a d&c. so i say put on a pad, take a test. if it comes out neg. you know its not a miscarriage. the er does have to see you, and let you pay out your bill if it comes to that....good luck. if you can, keep us (me) posted. im praying for you!

  • if you are miscarrying, you need to use pads, not tampons! if you were pregnant and you're losing it, you'd only be about 6 weeks pregnant, so there would be no need for a d&c (where they have to take the baby out). i've had 2 early miscarriages and both times they just told me to go home and watch for an increase in bleeding, worsening pain, etc. i was told that if i was soaking through a pad in an hour or less, i needed to come back. so keep track of how often you're changing your pads.

  • if you do go to the er, they can prescribe vicodin or something for the pain, if needed. if you are/were pregnant you'll still test positive with a home preg test. your hcg levels drop as you miscarry, but if you were 6 wks, you'll still register on the tests. and all preg tests are the same. get one at the dollar store to save $. if you go to the dr, they'll likely just tell you what i've said here. there's nothing they can do to stop it this early. if you want, they can test your hcg levels and then re-test in 3 days. if the numbers go down, it's a definite miscarry. it is possible that you are pregnant and not miscarrying though. some women have bleeding during pregnancy and still have the baby.

  • Go to the ER. They can make sure you're not hemorrhaging, which is the most important. Take the tampon OUT and don't replace it. Use a pad. Miscarriages cause bleeding and cramping, yes, but so do a number of other conditions including cysts and endometriosis. It is better to be safe than sorry.
