  • Yes but mostly because I always disliked my maiden name and am not close to my father so was glad to ditch his last name.

  • Yes I did. I have a rather unique maiden name, and I was going to hyphenate it, but I realized it would be one heck of a chore to write every time I needed to. lol

  • I never got around to changing my social security card.  Couldn't change my name on my license until Ichanged my ss card.  Couldn't change my name on my bank acct until I changed it on license and ss card, etc.  So no, I didn't.  Most times when I sign my name, I either hyphenate it, or sign my married name most often on school related stuff.  Nothing against hubby, I'm proud to be married to him.  It can be a hassle, but not so much so that I'm going to change it anytime soon.  And my husband is okay with it this way.

  • Yes. I couldn't wait to change my name because I grew up in a notorious family.
