  • I don't know if gender makes any difference at all...same as colour of skin or where in a country you're born or religion. Would better representation of all those things be nice? Yes. :)

  • I don't think this country is ready for a woman president. Especially from the extremes like Hillary and Sarah.

  • I dont think shed be better or worse. I actually really wanted Hillary in office, but was excited for Obama as well.

Margaret Thatcher comes to mind to me as a woman who was not a "sister".

As much as I'd like to see a female president, I hope Sarah Palin is not that woman.

I have read articles indicating a woman may be a more peaceful leader though.

  • Brandy has a good point, a more moderate middle of the road female would do better.

  • I won't vote for a woman just because of gender. If she is the person who I think is best for the job, she'll have my support and vote. Are we as a nation ready for a woman president? I don't know. When one is elected, I guess we'll see.

  • I think a woman could do just as good of a job as a man...especially given the history of the men that have sat in the Oval Office. I think there might be some areas a woman would be better. I think she would be more "protectionist" where the country is concerned and I think she would take a stricter approach in diplomatic matters.

  • I would love to see a woman president. I would not vote for someone based on gender alone, but I think women, especially moms, learn to multitask well, tend to protect their own and think outside the box. Look at the state our male presidents have left our country in, I think it's time we had a woman come in and clean up their mess.
