Legalistic policing styles?

I've combed through my book for a Crime in America class as well as the internet, but I haven't been able to find an answer. I need to find an example of legalistic policing styles. My book doesn't list any and every site that I've searched only comes up with the definition.

Any ideas? I'm stuck.

  • From what I understand of legalistic policing things like speed traps, where everyone caught speeding in that zone is pulled over and ticketed, are a form of legalistic policing. I can't think of any others right now, but if I do I will post again. Hope this helped at least a little.
