  • We're doing a seafood thanksgiving this year....lobster instead of turkey and we're also having raw oysters (well I'm not having any...yuck!) and I'm making shrimp casserole

  • We're doing a more traditional thanksgiving: Turkey and gravy, stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, scalloped corn, green bean casserole, we use Hawaiian bread instead of rolls, pumpkin pie, peanut butter cookies and just some snacky stuff.

  • Green Bean Casserole, Rolls, Cranberry sauce, Pumpkin Pie, Don't know how we are doing the turkey yet. Fried or baked. Waiting for my husband to come back from sea before I make the decision. Even though I am half tempted just to say bake it. I am sure there might be some ham if my friend makes it. Then I am sure stuffing. Corn. Yeah I think I got it all. :)

  • I'm going big this Thanksgiving. It's our 1st in our new home. So...Baked turkey, ham, stuffing, deviled eggs, mac & cheese, collard greens, potatoe salad, mashed potatoes, green beans, an african dish called jellof rice (smoked turkey, sliced pork, onions, peppers, crushed tomatoes, tomatoe paste and parboiled rice, mixed together and slow cooked all in 1 pot) very, very good. For dessert; choc cake, carmel cake, red velvet cake, sweet potatoe pie, cheesecake, banana pudding and pumpkin pie. Served with several 5 different specialty drinks.

  • I'll be going up to my parents for the first time in years (usually I host my BIL's family and some friends, but with DH out of town, well, just didn't seem the same). My daughter and I will go up the day before to help bake. We'll have roasted turkey with dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, yellow & white corn that we froze over the summer, salad, cranberry sauce, fruit salad. In the early part of the day there's always snacks...pate, cheese, salami & crackers, artichoke dip and such...and of course after dinner, it's PIE time! Apple, cherry, pumpkin, black bottom coconut cream...yummmy!!!
