Is it normal if my son always has this white cheezy stuff on his penis?

I always wash him in the bath in the morning but he still gets it during the day and I have to use a wipe to clean him during diaper changes. Could it be because he has not been circumcised?

  • I looked it up on google and it turns out that it is normal (my husband and son are both circumcised so I didn't know). It happens with uncircumcised penises. It's called smegma.

  • It is normal for boys to have this it is the way the penis cleans itself.

  • It's totally normal, and all you need to do is gently wipe it away.

  • It's very common for uncircumcised boys to have this cheesy stuff, it's called "smegma". Although normal, it's not harmless and it's certainly not cleaning, as someone mentioned. You have to wipe it off often because it's very irritating, not to mentione smelly.
