Help! Moms, I need Christmas Gift Ideas for my girls...

I need help! I have 5 kids and have no idea what to get for the two older girls... they are 9... They are definately out of the baby doll and barbie phase... although at times the play w/ Bratz.... I am trying to figure out what I could them that they'll get use out of and it won't just be a mess on thier bedroom floor or tossed in the closet. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.

  • How about an Itunes card, game they may be wanting, CD. Since they have their indoor stuff, maybe something that they would enjoy outdoors? A trampoline? Roller Blades (are those still "in????) Something to get them up and moving:) Clothes? If all else fails, ask them what kinds of things they would want for Christmas:)

  • I found that girls that age usually want to feel grown up. They like to have their nails done, hair done, etc. Also if buying them "things" isn't what you want to do then give them things to do. Movie tickets, skating, or even a "girls day out". If possible give 2 tickets so they can take a friend.

  • Do far I got mine a couple of Wii games and the American Girl Book - The Care & Keeping of You (they are going to need it real soon) - a webkinz, a book, a couple of hoodies, spa crystals for the bath, an outfit, not sure what else I am getting. DH wants to get her a laptop and I won't have it. Too many BAD things happen when kids have a computer and privacy. She can just use this one in the family room like the rest of us. Oh, I found some cute things in a catalog, and I got her a new karate bag for her gear and a new bo.
