Large bank or small bank

Do you feel happier with a large bank like BOA or a small community/state bank?

  • ~*Credit Union*~... BofA used to be just that, helping those no one else would, but they now are worse than those they went under/behind... big banks don't need you so they can care less, and I found Bank of America was the worst!!! They'd either take my deposit and place it into someone else's account, or give me money from others accounts, how can you mess up that many times??? Wells Fargo was absolutely amazing in keeping things straight, but they suck in customer service... we're now in a better place!!! And my bank knows our face, and we set up the kids' accounts there too

  • We have always dealt with a local small bank and have been very pleased. When we moved we looked for the local small bank again

  • Crdit Union, the one I am with knows me and knows my son. They are always helpful and they don't have ridiculous fees or stupid rules about when the money goes into the account.

  • We have 6 accounts with 3 different banks. Our mortgage is with the big guy.. We got the best rate with Bank of America, and then I have my child support account with a different big bank because it's been there for years with direct deposit and I'm too lazy to change it.....Our other accounts are in a very small bank in our area.
So I guess we're okay with both, you just have to keep a close eye on things with all of them. Our small town bank is awesome because when they see something suspicious they call us and make sure we made the purchase, etc..

  • I like to have access to my account no matter where I go- but I prefer to work with people that know me. So we have a credit union with locations all over Utah. I'm happy with it =)
