Making Beef Stew with Matzah Balls???

I'm making Beef Stew tonight and I usually make it with Dumplings on top. I just noticed that I'm out of Bisquick (which I usually use to make them) and am trying to decide whether or not to make them from scratch (flour) or use the Matzah Ball mix I have in the pantry. I read someplace that you can substitute Matzah Balls dumplings in most recipes, but never tried it. Any thoughts?

  • I usually make things from scratch but the Matzah ball mix works pretty well, they mostly taste like dumplings anyway.
