Anyone done the Weight Watchers program for breast feeding moms?

I'm curious as to how successful their program for breastfeeding moms is.
Has anyone done it, and was it easy to follow?
How much weight did you lose and how long did it take?
Can you give an example of what a typical day's meals would be?
I'm really wanting to join and lose 30 pounds.

  • Why? You could simply eat fruit/veggies for snacks, walk more, eat less junk and have the same results.

  • Yes. I did it (the old Points Program for nursing mothers in 2003) when my oldest was a baby. It is idiot proof and you see fast results. I lost 45 pounds really easily and never saw a drop in my milk supply. That was in around 4 months. As for a meal plan, you can basically eat anything you want. Whenever I would plateau while I was nursing, I added a serving of dairy and started losing again. I was around 4 servings of dairy.

  • I am a member of Weight Watchers, but not a bf mom. I have lost alomost 50 in the past 15 months. I really like the friends that I have at the meetings, and you have to track what you eat. It makes you realize that what you put in your mouth does add up, even if you don't think that little bits and pieces won't add up, but it does. I really hope that I have helped you on your decision. I love Weight Watchers
