When did your baby's umbilical cord stump fall off?

My son will be 2 weeks tomorrow, and it looks like his is about to come off, but it's still half way attached, and it makes me nervous cause I dont want to get anything under it or pull it....

  • Around 2-3 weeks.

  • DS was around 2 weeks. Don't pull on it or do anything to "encourage" it to come off. It'll happen when it's ready! Just go easy on it so nothing does pull on it. Generally nothing gets under it. Just put your son in Onesies, that will keep much of anything from getting access to the stump.

  • I think it was between 1 and 2 weeks. Don't worry, it will come off.
