My 6 month old is eating solids - is it better to feed her in a chair in a reclined position or in a chair that sits upright? No issues of acid reflux or anything, just curious if one was is better than the other in general...

  • A 6 month old should be sitting upright when eatting solids, I would think it would cause them to choke if reclined. I know I dont like to eat sitting back....

  • Sitting upright in a chair. If she is reclined, she could choke.

  • In a highchair or booster chair in an upright position. If the child is in a reclined position they're more inclined to choke on the solid food, as well as it'll be hard for them to grasp the food on their own. It's best to keep them upright with a tray of food in front of them.

  • if they can hold their head up and they can eat solids, then they can sit upright to eat.
