Spin off, another wedding question. how much do you spend on a wedding gift if you're part of the wedding party?

I was thinking around $100. would that be cheap?

  • whatever you can afford... when I was part of a wedding party we were flat broke so I hand made a card and some cookies it's the thought that counts not really the amount spent.

  • I've always been taught that you price your gift based on how much the bride and groom (and/or families) are spending on your time at the wedding. Are they serving a buffet or a sit down meal. Just desserts or cocktail hour before hand. How much food and drink they pay for for you, is how much you should be giving back to them.
