  • I love that...and agree 100%....if you study different religions or even just dabble into them or ask questions you will realize that every religion is more alike then you would think....for example...if you look at christians and wiccan/pegans....the gods are the same...the difference is that we just have a god for different things where with christians 1 god represents everything....there might be different stories with every religion but they all boil down to the same thing....good a good person....take care of others....thats why i dont understand why people feel the need to put down religions that are not their own.

  • I believe it, though probably in a different way than you do - I believe all faiths are merely different ways of relating to and understanding the same Divine.

  • I don't see it as a huge stretch to say that many of the religions we practice today are based off of the same basic principles and therefore could be direct evolutions of one basic religion. But, again, I'm not a big fan of religion itself, I prefer to have faith, which to me is a personal relationship with God. I also think that God is God, whether you use the name Jehovah, Lord, Bhagwaan, Yahweh, Allah or any other name is not so important as the relationship you have with God.

  • For those seeking participation in a religion, yes it is true.
For those seeking a personal relationship with God, there is but one.

  • And what is that god's name jewjew?
whatever you want to call him.
    your God is your God.
    and mine is mine.
If you have none, you have no name for him.
    Why do you ask?

  • I think it is and that quote made me think of these other two quotes I like

“In theory there is but one religion, in practice, there are as many religions as there are people.” ~ Buddha

“The soul of religion is one, but it is encased in a multitude of forms.” ~ Mohandas Gandhi
