Wisconsin workers and other states deserve the wrath!...

Let's face it, gone are the days of working for the state for 20yrs and cashing in on a fat
pension! And don't forget to throw in a nice healthcare deal!

They should privatize many gov't jobs. If they did, we'd get more efficiency and production. Why does the DWP always have one guy working and five watching?
Again, wasted resources. Want stats? The average gov't employee pays 9% for healthcare while private employees pay a smokin' 23% for the same or similar package. Yeah, that's fair! Most unions get the most benefit for the least amount of work! We should unionized
every business and get the same packaged benefits!

  • Where was all this screaming and complaining when times were good and the govt was dying for employees but could not get them because the pay was so low compared to what people could get on the open market- the benefits and security of a govt job were not enough to lure people then but now that times are tough people are pointing fingers and hating on people that were willing to take less in wages in exchange for good benefits and job security-
laziness- well depends on where you look-our library and DMV run like clock work around here-our WalMart-good luck trying to find someone willing to help you!

    ***
And why is that?! Because in the private sector unions are not needed or welcome!! Would YOU like it if you owned a business and your employees became unionized?! And then told YOU--WHEN they would work, HOW they would work, WHAT their job descriptions would entail, WHAT you would be paying them, and the benefits you would be providing them?!

    Yeah, didn't think so!

  • Yeah lets punish our teachers even more, sounds good. Who are we going to get to teach our children? Why go through college and become a teacher, not only do they get paid so little, now lets take away their benefits. I would rather have qualified ,smart people teaching our children instead of choosing a different field that pays better. We should be behind them. I think all of your thinking is warped.

Ummmm no one is talking about taking their benefits away, they are asking them to pay a little more for them. In fact they will still be paying way less than most people do.

And unless you're not very smart, you'd already know that teachers don't make a lot of money. I didn't think they went into teaching for the money, but because they actually liked their job.

One more point...in WI the scores are abysmally low.

(CNSNews.com) - Two-thirds of the eighth graders in Wisconsin public schools cannot read proficiently according to the U.S. Department of Education, despite the fact that Wisconsin spends more per pupil in its public schools than any other state in the Midwest.
