Can you get on birth control after delivery if you plan to breastfeed?

i am wanting the kind that they implant in your arm.

  • The mini pill is the best way to go. It's the safest for you and your baby, and works with chemicals your body produces to make it just as effective as the regular pill for a regular woman. You have to get back on a regular pill/other form of birth control once you're done breastfeeding though, or it will no longer be effective.

  • I believe you can do it on your 6 week check up. Just let your doctor know.

  • Ohhhhhh my midwife and I were just talking about this!  Yes, you can get it while breastfeeding!

  • they will recomend certain kinds that will not affect breast feeding like the mini pill
