  • Aceteminafin or ibuprofen for pain/fever. Beyond that it's home remedies for colds unless prescribed by your doctor or his/her nurse.

The dosages for cold meds go by weight. They don't give cold meds anymore because they really don't help very much and there isn't as much consistency in dosage. So one mom sees 1 tsp and gets a tsp from the kitchen, another uses the dosage cup and the variation that that gives is dangerous for the real small ones.

  • nothing. a cough is something that will heal itself. if it's so bad that it's affecting her sleeping, put some baby vix on her. use a humidifier in her room. but no med is going to help it or take it away.

  • it is hard to find meds for a 2 year old. do you have a vaporizer? or put vicks on your chest and let her sleep close to you so she gets the vapors from it

  • I give my son over the counter cough meds for children. He weighs 30 lbs so i give him a tsp every 4 to 6 hrs. It really helps him. Also we do benydryl to dry up any muscusy snotty nose when it occurs for periods at a time. A tsp of that as well.
