Skunk!!!! OMG!!!

Does anyone know how to get skunk smell out? My brother got sprayed by a skunk and doesnt have a washer/dryer, so he showed up at my house to clean his clothes. Although he changed into clothes from my dh and put everything straight into the washer the smell is stuck in some of my furniture he sat on. I tried febreeze but it's not working.

I think we got the smell out of his cloths now I have to clean up the smell he left behind.

Oh and By the way the smell someone gets when they are sprayed directly is unbelievably worse than when you smell it outside.... HOLY COW!!! it was awful!

Thanks for any help :)

  • The vets office I work at has an enzyme spray made especially for skunk spray. Call around and see if anyone has one like it. Vet Solutions Thiotrol Skunk Odor Eliminator

  • Seriously? I thought i was pretty clear... but I must be tired. I don't need to get the smell out of his cloths anymore I got that, but because my sofa doesn't fit in my washer and dryer I nedd to find another way to clean it. and I'm not dumping tomato juice all over my couch. :)

  • If you can't find that maybe lemon juice? Tomato juice is acidic so maybe something else that is similar ph balance would work.
