  • Owww, I know how you feel, mine did not smile until he was about 3 months. I was pretty scared and then one day he gave the TV a huge smile. He was watching Barney and I guess he liked that huge smile - after that of course we bought every single Barney video so he could exercise that smile!.

No Barney bashing please! This was 7-yrs ago!!!

  • my daughter wouldnt crack a smile until 8 weeks. with my first she would smile at 4 weeks (only for others never for me until 6 weeks). my youngest was just a colically crab apple who i thought hated me because no matter what silly face i made she just stared back as if i a twit. by 8 weeks she suddenly became happy and now smiles allll the friggin time. some babies are just different i guess.

  • My first was like this! He was a moody little sucker. He wouldn't sleep, wasn't happy EVER, lol. Unless he was on his mom, and I would go days w/o sleeping...finally at 3 months he smiled. It was SO great. He's a perfect well adjusted child...just stubborn. :P
