When can I start working out after this surgery?

Ok so I just had my galbladder and some stones that were in a bile duct removed about 2-3 weeks ago. I am still a little bit sore. Not too bad. I can walk around, carry my 6month old, ect. Just need to sit down and rest sometimes and take some tylenol or ibuprofen. Anywho.... Here is my question. I don't plan on excersizing any time soon due to the stitches and stuff. But I am wondering when I CAN begin to work out. I don't see my dr for another month and he's pretty hard to get ahold of. So if any of you have had this done, I'd really like the tips/advice : ) Thanks Ladies : )

  • hmm. I would give yourself at least a month to recover then slowly start to work out. You should be good to go after 6 weeks. That is generally when they say it is ok. I will check with your doc though.

  • I'd wait 2 months and start slowly by walking.
