Is paid phone sex legal? adult content

I know it's an odd question, but people who open adult businesses like, for example, a virtural setting where you get paid to turn men on with words or photos, no sex.. is that legal? Or is it the same as prostitution?

  • Its legal, to open a business like that, one needs a business licence and that person also has to pay taxes. Prostition is illegal because of tax fraud. Prostitutes don't claim, nor pay their taxes. Which is why prostitution is legal in some places in Nevada, they have a business licences and pay taxes

  • Are people still doing phone sex? I just assumed with the internet that it was one more business that had become obsolete.

  • Morally it's the same as prostitution, but apparantly it is legal.

  • Think about it. If it wasn't legal those "chat lines" wouldn't be able to advertise on TV.
