  • Yep. I turn 40 this year. After I turned 30 and my kids were all still younger I would maybe have my mom and dad or inlaws watch them and go out with my friends and SO/DH. Now, with two adult kids, one 17, 10 and 6 they throw me parties. We get together, have cake and ice cream, dinner and just spend time together.

  • Well since my son was born on my birthday we have kind of turned the day into HIS birthday and celebrate HIS birth (I am totally fine with that!!). So what we do is have a family party on a Saturday before or after the birthday for my son- although my mom, dad and sis do give me a birthday card or gift at the party as well. Then on the actual birthday I buy a bakery cake and we sing happy birthday to my son.
My hubs usually takes me out for a birthday lunch or supper-- depending on what day my birthday is on and our work schedules.

  • Of course I celebrate birthdays, I've had 47 of them so far.    How I celebrate them varies but I can guarantee that my 50th will be special.
