  • That depends on the child. You should feed them when they're hungry.
My oldest son ate 4 oz's from birth about every three hours.
My daughter ate probably about 3-4 oz's at around 4 weeks about every three hours.
My youngest son is only a week old, but he eats 3-4 oz's every three hours.

Yep, I have kids who are hardy eaters.

  • She's eating four ounces about every four hours. I was just wondering when she would need to start eating more. I pump breast milk for her too.

  • She'll let you know (and believe me you'll know:) when she needs more and is not satisfied, she'll be a little fussy. My baby girl is just six weeks and will pound away five ounces of breast milk every 3-4 hrs. Doctor asked if she spits it up, but she doesn't we just make her burp after every 2 ounces then after the last ounce. She looks drunk afterward, but she can handle it :)

  • my 3 month old drinks 6oz about every 4 hours during the day. he sleeps regularly at night. at noon time is the only time i give him baby juice with water & just water. that is his nap time anyways. he wakes up about 2 hours later & stays awake for about 3 more hours til he starts to fuss. so then i know he is hungry. my other 2 were about the same but didnt start at 6oz so early like the baby has. lol

  • 2-3 oz every 2-3 hrs
depending on wet and dirty diapers and sweating and humidity of your house
if it is dry in your house babe may need a lil more to drink
and if babe is active by lifting head a lot or tummy time
    your instincts will kick in
    good luck
