Lemons bad for babys teeth?

One of my friends just told me she was never giving her child a lemon once her teeth came in....

Okay I know there r lots of things bad for teeth such as juice (even tho she doesn't elieve me that juice is bad even before they have teeth)

Does lemon take enamel off teeth? If so what else does?

  • Our son always loved lemons and limes when he was a baby for some odd reason and it never did anything to his teeth and the doctors never said it was bad, so that's my only opinion.

  • It softens the enamel

  • Yes, lemons ARE bad for enamel - I've never heard of it doing anything else - but chewing on straws and plastic and stuff is bad for enamel, too.
